Description
L.E.C.A. stands for light expanded clay aggregate and is used to help hold in the humidity inside mushroom growing chambers and other hydroponic growing systems.
 
Also known as Hydroton, it is small globes of burnt and puffed clay that resembles volcanic rock. Mostly used in construction, farming, and especially in hydroponics it is a clean and attractive, soil free media with many applications. LECA is completely inert, pH neutral and reusable. We use LECA in several of our mushroom growing systems including the Mycodome and Mycozone Eco System.
